Mr. Goolsbee Not sure this will reach your eyes, I am after all just an ordinary citizen. I am not an economist, just a person with some common sense. Can you please explain to me why you are still in favor of Keynesian economic theory, after the spectacular failure during the eight years of Obama's presidency, despite a +/- $1, 000, 000, 000, 000 so called "Stimulus", with a just barely limping along economy, and historic high number of working age Americans out of the work force.compare this failure to the success of Pres. Reagan applying Supply Side theory to the stalled Pres. Carter economy. I remember it, because under Pres. Carter I was paying 18% interest on my home loan, which reduced to below 10% after less than 12 months, if I remember right. Conditions were far worse then, since the high inflation rate precluded application of the inflationary Keynesian theory. Indeed, even Sir Keynes was advocating removing the stimulus again, once the economy recovered, which never happened under your tutelage My real concern is that you and your Keynesian Theory cohorts are now teaching the same theory that so spectacularly failed under your and your liberal cohorts tutelage. You and your colleges are essentially committing education fraud on all the students you are selling Keynesian theory as a valid economic theory.
