Cardiff Airport is completely known as Cardiff International Airport (CWL) is an international airport and the Cardiff Airport is owned by the Welsh Government since 2013. Cardiff Airport is located in Vale of Glamorgan just 19 km west of Cardiff's city centre. Cardiff airport was created in 1931. In 1995, the airport became the part of TBI Limited (formerly as TBI PLC). In 2013, the Welsh Government purchased it from TBI Limited.
