History and Description of Gi Bill
The Servicemen's Readjustment Act of 1944 became a law on 22nd of June, 1944. GI Bill provided the online facility, with which the veterans seeking benefits could apply through its website. The service was used by about 2.2 million veterans, who claimed it for attaining educational benefits in colleges or universities and 5.6 million veterans used them for several training programs. One of the important motive behind the G.I. Bill to provide zero down payment loans with low interests to the servicemen. It was on 10th of January, 1944 that the G.I. Bill was introduced to the House. Also, it aimed to provide twenty dollars a week to the chronic servicemen for 52 weeks a year until they did not get any work. This provision was called the clause 50-52.
