History
The first outlet of Hannaford was opened in 1883 by Arthur Hannaford when he started selling fruits and vegetables but in 1902, it became Hannaford Brothers Company under the leadership of two brothers namely Howard and Edward.
Products, Brands and Services
Hannaford has more than 180 distribution stores located in five states of the United States i.e. Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont. Each store offers grocery items, frozen foods, bakery and dairy products, snacks, seafood, meat and liquor. On the other hand, the supermarket chain offers products under six brand names such as Nature's Place, Taste of Inspirations, Healthy Accents, Home 360 and My Essentials. Hannaford also offers services like Prescription Refills and Gift Cards.
