In September, 2003, IAC/InterActiveCorp was the new owner of Hotwire after paying $663 million. In 2005, with the splitting of Expedia form IAC/InterActiveCorp, many subsidiaries were come under the former including Hotwire.com. The site received accolades from J.D. Power and Associates as "Highest in Customer Satisfaction for Independent Travel Web Sites" in 2006 and 2007.
