Humayun's tomb is called as Humayun ka Maqbara in Urdu language, located in Nizamuddin East, Delhi, India. It was designed by the Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and commissioned by Bega Begum, first wife of Humayun in 1569-70. Humayun ka Maqbara has also referred as the Purana Qila. It has also considered as the first creation to use red sandstone and in the year 1993, it has announced as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The construction of the Humayun ka Maqbara was started in 1565 and it completed in 1572. Humayun's tomb was situated in the Mid of a thirty acre of char Bagh Garden. It has surrounded within high rubble walls on three sides as well as on the fourth side is the river Yamuna. The tomb has two double-storey entryways, such as the West gate and the South gate.
