The Rogers K-Rock Centre is the sport and entertainment venue that is located in Kingston, Ontario and has more than 6,500 seating capacity. It is able to host the events, family programs, ICE shows and other world-class entertainment functions. The arena is home to the Kingston Frontenacs that are the members of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and has 20 teams made up of players. It is owned by the City of Kingston and controlled by the United States based company, Spectacor Management Group (SMG).
History
The Rogers K-Rock Centre started its construction on 3rd of November 2006 and on 22nd of February 2008, the first
Game was performed by the Kingston Frontenacs in the venue. The radio channel named as K-Rock 105.7 acquired the naming rights of the venue for ten years by paying around $3.2 million. The K-Rock Centre was changed its name as Rogers K-Rock Centre on 24th of August 2013 and
Rogers Communications took possession over the radio station in the year 2009.
