Marshall Point Lighthouse was constructed in the year 1832 at Port Clyde, Marine. The lighthouse is architect by the US Army Corps of Engineers and governed by the United States Coast Guard. The lighthouse was built to support boats which are entering as well leaving Port Clyde Harbor. This lighthouse has also been featured in a famous movie named as Forrest Gump. In 1998, the Marshall Point lighthouse was moved to the St. George Town under the Privilege of the Marine Lights Program, due to this the fog signal were destroyed into peices. It is also listed in National Register of Historic Places.
