The University of South Dakota is the leading co-educational research university based in the United States. It was began in the year 1862 by the Dakota Territorial Legislature. The university is one of the oldest university in South Dakota. Its main campus is spread in an area of around 321 acres which has several facilities including academic facility, Farber hall (theater), student activities center, Dining facility, book store, television areas, lounge etc. In addition to this, the university also offers Housing facilities through nine residential halls including Norton Hall, McFadden Hall, Mickelson Hall, Richardson Hall, Brookman Hall, Beede Hall, Coyote Village, Olson Hall and Burgess Hall. It gives comprehensive housing facilities such as Internet, lounges, restrooms, study rooms, dining facility, laundry Rooms and more.
The University of South Dakota has seven schools and colleges consisting College of Fine Arts, College of Arts and Sciences, Sanford School of Medicine, School of Education, School of Law, Beacom School of Business and School of Health Sciences. Through these schools and colleges, the university provides comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to medicine, health sciences, law, business, psychology, marketing and many more.
